In March, Seoul¡¯s winter slowly fades as the city¡¯s climate begins to warm. The last cold snap hits in April, but temperatures still fluctuate throughout the day. Then in May, the yellow dust from the west blows through and temperatures rise to 11-12 degrees Celsius. Summers in Seoul can be extremely hot and humid. The average temperature in June is 20 degrees Celsius. July marks Seoul¡¯s meteorological transition into a wet climate as the monsoon season approaches. As the temperatures keep rising, the chances for torrential downpours and typhoons increase. The rainfall tapers off in August, but the hottest days are still ahead. Temperatures can stay up above 25 degrees Celsius even at night! |

Fall is said to be one of the most beautiful seasons in Korea. Temperatures cool in September, however some chances for heavy rain and typhoons still exist. With clear-breezy skies and moderate temperatures (14 degrees Celsius), October is the perfect month to spend your days outside. ?Temperatures start to drop significantly in November as daily averages fall to 7 degrees. Autumn comes to a close as the last leaves fall from their branches and the brisk winter beckons. |

Winters in Seoul can get very cold and dry. As December draws near, the signs of cold weather become evident. A wave of frigid air hits the city in January as the average temperature drops to -2.5 degrees Celsius. Expect to see some heavy snowfall and blizzard-like weather! While February isn¡¯t as cold as January, the temperatures are still relatively cold. But the winter eventually relents as the cycle of seasons begins anew. |
